Important Information about Windows the Applications . . . Please Read.
Guiding principles used in all this sites software: 1. All applications are virus checked before uploading using the link on the main home page and do not contain any malicious code. 2. There are no adverts or any third party modules embedded in any of the applications. 3. None of the application will even try to connect to the Internet. 4. All the applications have been produced from scratch using only a standard Microsoft Visual Basic 6 compiler and are built containing NO Active-X components. It has been brought to my knowledge that some users have been experiencing difficulties when downloading 16 and 32 Bit application. I have since discovered that at least two major anti-virus packages now assume that any new or niche software must be malicious and virus infected without even checking the files contents. This is especially true for those running anti-virus programmes on Window 7 OS and onwards. Therefore I strongly recommend that one should download the application of choice and before even attempting the run the application use the link on the home page just to verify that your downloaded copy has not be compromised during the download process. Note: Sometimes some companies do raise a false positive with some Microsoft 32 bit library elements or if a Sandbox environment is not present.

The applications are divided into two distinct sets :-

16 Bit Applications for DOS and Windows

32 Bit applications for Windows only.

The 16 Bit Applications.
All the programmes were initially designed to work in a pure PC DOS environment.

However the programmes have been tested under :- WINDOWS 3.0 , 3.1 and 3.11 and Windows 95/98/NT/XP/Vista
all being activated in a DOS mode and they all appear to operate successfully.

The manuals have been given the file extension .MAN and are pure ASCII text only files. They may be read by any Text editor . . .

(ie. NOTEPAD or SED) or similar.

All the programmes are delivered as a self extractors. You will need to copy them to a free directory/folder or spare disk and execute the self extractor programme to release the contents.

The New 32 Bit Applications.
These are a brand new set of applications designed to run on Windows 95/98/NT/XP/Vista/Windows7 and are distributed as single applications with a .exe file extension.

Acc.
The application Acc is a direct replacement for the 16 bit application ACNT and can perform all the same functions.
Acc is designed to work in both 32bit and 64 bit environments with its control and visual presentation almost identical to ACNT but can now be controlled via mouse clicks as well as keyboard entry.
Acc is a simple personal accounts management programme that supports up to 10+ linked/related finance accounts in all modes.
The programme now supports up to 1000 entries per accounting period.
The programme can be used in a number of different modes :-

Screen display analysis showing all accounts and now up to five prior accounting periods.
A List display that shows the sum transaction totals over a set of accounting periods.
A List display that shows a sum totals of all accounts at each data entry level transaction.
A List display in Cash Book format with optional comments associated with each entry as required.

Note: With all the List display modes the programme can append print comments to the reports as well as marking of any reconcillation totals.

The programme now supports the ability to directly activate use of NOTEPAD and Aaa to edit/create the accounts data and it also has an embedded Help manual.

Note: The List Displays are sent to a data file that can be immediatly viewed with NOTEPAD or sent to a printer via LineList

Aaa.
A new programme Aaa (Accounts Assistant Application).
This application will help in creating data for both Acc and ACNT.

It can :-

Sort Date entered accounts information.
Assist with regular transfer payments.
Allow imports of previously created data via clipboard or text file.
Can export data via clipboard or text file.
Allows comment and references to be added to transactions.

Sync.
The application Sync is a direct replacement for the programme DIRCMP and can perform virtually all the same functions other than the multi-floppy compare feature.
Sync will work in both 32bit and 64 bit environments.
There is no need to build batch files to perform directory backup synchronising as this is now an intrinsic feature of the programme.
Sync contains both an embedded batch (compare and sychronising processing) editor as well as a Help manual.
Sync can work across network systems as well as to dedicated backup media.
New features added August/September 2011 now allow Include files to be used in the Batch process files as well as Macro Character substitution in Path names to enable extra application flexibility.

LineList.
Linelist V2 and is a direct fully compatable alternative for the original application Linelist V1 , However, V2 is designed specifically to operate on 32 and 64 bit Windows systems.
The primary purpose of Linelist is to offer an easy method of transfering text based files to a fixed character width printer with embedded support for Form feed and Tab characters (set at columns 8, 16 , 24 ... multiples).
Additional features include the ability to prefix text files with a mini header describing the filename and when the file was printed.
The programme can also prefix each line with the current line number to help with location identification.
A final feature is the ability to Highlight user specified groups of characters on the printout.
Version 1 presumes that your printers support 80 or 132 column printing (Dot Matrix / Impact style printers).
Version 2 is designed to support standard Windows graphic, USB, Networked printers or a PDF print drivers like PDF_Redirect or Jaws.
Version 2 can currently can only print to the current default printer which must be ready for use before running the application.
Version 2 supports two papers sizes A4 (210mm * 297mm) and Letter (8 1/2 * 11 inch or 216mm * 279mm).
Irrespective of paper size being used the application can present 80 or 132 column format with a vertical line spacing of either 66 or 88 lines per page (6 or 8 Lines per inch (circa)).

FRApp and SetTime.
The NEW application FRApp is designed to rename blocks of files in a directory structure using Date and Time to select the name order of the files. Note warnings are given if name conflicts are likley to occur during the renaming process.
This application is very useful for sorting out photo and movie images into meaniful named groups for later use.

You may find the new application SetTime will be quite useful used in conjunction with FRApp as you can use SetTime to correct time differences between camera file images to correctly sequence them.

Alarm.
The NEW application Alarm is designed to generate a warning tone when either a count down time has been reached or when a selected time is arrived at. Maximum delay period is 23 Hours and 59 minutes. Note the application only holds the alarm time whilst the application is running in memory. Restarts etc. will erase any selected alarms.

MultiChoice.
MC (MultiChoice) V2 and is a direct fully compatable alternative for the original application MC (MultiChoice) V1 , However, V2 is designed specifically to operate on 32 and 64 bit Windows systems.
The primary purpose of MC (MultiChoice) is to offer an easy method of creating MultiChoice Games/Training Exercises with minimal effort and at the same time presenting unique test sets as the MultiChoice programme randomly selects questions and answer from the data set.
The programme has the option to try to convert DOS character font characters to Windows Fonts codes as well as trying to display valid acented font characters, however, some codes may display incorrectly as there are no standard definitions for acented characters.

Plot Applications.
NEW application GPS
This is the first of a set of applications for Plotting data and processing information.
GPS.exe is designed to process .gpx and .csv files and currently can generate a .csv output file of track, route or waypoint data as well as .plt files that enable maps to be drawn from processed data.
Editing and conversion features are now included and co-ordinates within England, Scotland and Wales can now have their OS grid lines presented on the plot files rather that just fixed distance grid lines.

NEW application Plot
Application to use plot type commands to produce a plotter image for the default printer or clipboard.

The 32 Bit Games and Applications.
These are a brand new set of applications designed to run on Windows 95/98/NT/XP/Vista/Windows7,8,10 and are distributed as single applications with a .exe file extension and are all accessable via the 32B storage area.

Note due to improvements introduced in Windows 8/10 you may well find that none of the software described in this document will be able to run on those operating systems. If this is the situation there will be no further development of software beyond Windows 10 use and all future development targeted at Linux OS instead.
Experiments to date have shown all the applications so far tested work on Windows 10 so development continues.

Aces.
Aces.exe is a patience card game application for ammusement only. This programme supports the ability to operate in graphics and/or character mode. (Note: The character mode was initially developed circa 1994)
The application supports a minimal form of assistance with a choice of scoring display totals to identify gamming progress.
The application also contains a Help page which identifies the games rules and operation.

Blockx or Block Wars.
Blockx.exe or Block Wars is dice based strategy game for two to six players and is suitable for players aged eight years and above.
The application allows the players to enter manually thrown dice values or the computer can generate random dice values.
There is currently NO computer player option.
The application contains a set of Help pages which identify the games rules and play operation.
The Help pages also contain other information about the application.

Clock.
ClkP.exe is a patience card game application for ammusement only.
This programme supports character mode only. (Note: Graphics mode in development)
The application supports a minimal form of scoring display totals to identify gamming progress.
The application also contains a Help page which identifies the games rules and operation.

GrassApp.
GrassApp.exe is an application the can help you keep score when. playing the game called 'Grass'. A paper based score sheet can be quite involved due to effects of being the Banker and the positive and negative score totals at the end of each round hence the development of GrassApp. Many of the score features are implemented as tick lists with some sum totals needing to be entered. Up to 6 named players can be entered (the maximum as defined by the game rules). New features introduced allows the ability to view history of the most recent play (Data sent to clipboard and can be viewed by any text editor).

HangMan.
HangMan.exe is a game application for ammusement only and could be used in an education environment to help focus the attention of some students. The sought word/phrase can be preloaded in a file with the option of displaying additional information once the word/phrase has been discovered or in a purely interactive mode.
The application also contains a Help section which identifies the games operation and how to create topic based file stored game sets.

Shut the Box.
Shut.exe is a game that can help with numbers and simple calculations or just as a general game for all the family. The game is a dice based, is easy to play and has a very long history dating back to the 12th century. This version uses boxes numbered from One to Ten and can be played against the computer or with up to ten competing players plus the computer.
The application has the ability to have dice values manually entered if you wish to play a less computer based system and using real dice. The computer can take any players go if required should a player be unable to continue playing.
The programme also comes with a built in Help section which identifies the games operation and can offer the creation of a high score table.

Solitaire.
Sol.exe is a patience card game application for ammusement only.
This programme supports character mode only. (Note: Graphics mode in development)
The application supports a minimal form of scoring display totals to identify gamming progress.
The application also contains a Help page which identifies the games rules and operation.

Sudoku.
Sudoku.exe is an application the can help you solve Sudoku grids. This programme supports the ability to record your selections and to step back if an unsucessful route has been selected. Various levels of help support/assistance are selectable plus a few hard games to test out your solving ability. The recording capability is very useful when no unique cell is identified and you are left with a number of cells that have a choice of two or more potential unique digits.
Additional new features allows both 9 by 9 and 6 by 6 grids and additional multi number cell checking as well as the ability to mark or highlight cells where additional conditions may apply.

WScore.
WScore.exe is an application the can help you keep score of a number of card and board games instead of using the prepared score sheets located in the PDF section. The games currently supported are :-

The application also presents information about number of cards to deal. Who is the dealer.

The application works in a similar manner to the sister application GrassApp.
The application also has help pages which define the basic rules of play for a number of the defined games and other information about the application.
